How much do you think I can get with a extremely good working Original Equipment dirt bike. No serious rust issues and inside the engine is still brilliant silver because we stored it the correct way. Has original racing plastics on it. Green/white mix. It is legal for street use as well with proper attachments aka lights/mirrors. I remember we gave the engine a "tune-up" about 10 years ago and since then it has been stored away from moisture and weather. everything lubricated and oiled to prevent rust. Its like a Japanese Sword, pristine condition. About 17 years ago was offered $1500 because at the time it didn't run. Replaced carb with OE part. Runs strong. Only used once a year for past 18 years. I've had it in storage past 3 years and forget exactly which model it is. Planning to sell it and get a new bike.
Oh and for now a rough guess would work. So far I've heard 5-6k and up to 8k as it is a collectors piece.
I have never heard of any Kawasaki from that era that would bring that kind of money. To me, it is basically a $400 bike, worth maybe as much as a thousand if it is really as nice as you say, but I see no collector value there, I would only be interested on something to beat around on.
But what do I know? Try the Vintage japanese Motorcycle Club. If there is a collectors' market for your bike, somebody there will know about it.
