Its a 1985 suzuki DS80 2 stroke. I have no intention on keeping it for long, I bought it for $200 just to play around on, I plan on buying a yz 125 soon since this one is WAY to small for me. I actually had to take the front tire fender off because everytime I hit a bump it hit the tire lol. Anyway heres a list of whats wrong with it.
- Air filter is torn up, It must have never been changed because it's really torn up.
- No kick start lever
- No rear brake rod (everything is there but the little rod)
- Missing air hose for gas tank cap so it spills out the little hole when filled to the top
- Rubber band to keep gas tank down
- Random bolts for crankcase cover, gas tank..etc
It will cost $150 including shipping for all the parts. Should I buy them and fix it or just play around on it and sell it the way it is and let the buyer know whats wrong with it? Basically I want to know since I payed only $200 for the bike will spending $150 in parts be worth it towards the price or do you think I will loose money? It has some other problems too like front brakes work but they don't stop hard when you pull the lever hard. Some small idling problems but I'm cleaning the carb tomorrow which will hopefully fix that. Anyway let me know what you think.
as someone who buys alot of bikes with hopes to fix them, i would say sell that one for parts, you could put a tank air hose and an air filter for about 30 bucks and probobly sell it for more than you payed
