How many teeth will i need on my front sprocket and my back sprocket for a street and dirt gear ratio

Most street, park and dirt riders ride all three surfaces and desire smaller gears to simulate a gearing similar to BMX gearing. The small gears have less chance of bending or breaking when practicing tricks as well as less surface area of dangerous pointed chainwheels if and when a trick goes awry. Typically these riders use what are called "lo-lo" gears with a small 25 to 28 tooth chainwheel up front paired with a 9 tooth cog in the rear. A 26/9 combination results in a 56.33 gear ratio.

I have a dirt bike, its a 150cc and I always keep it in 5th gear because I like to go fast. Should I shift every now and then, and if so in what order.

i ride a 125 yamaha and have been ridin it sence i was 9 and im now 18 i always shift because u will get up to a higher speed faster and think what it is doin to ur clutch for it to put power down at such a high gear u need high rpms and if u use the clutch to get the rpms up then u r gonna be replacin a clutch a lot sooner than u want

my advice just learn how to shirt then u can start doin wheelies and if u think goin fast is fun get on one wheel it is better!! trust me

I have a 63 cc engine from a Pocket Bike and i wanna put in on a bike mabe or a moped. Does anyone now how to?

Relatively stright forward getting these engines out but your problem will be mounting it in the bike or moped. If you are putting in a push-bike you can take the pedals off mount the engine there and use the sproket to turn the existing chain which will probably need to be shortened.

Alternatively you could replace the sproket with a bmx peg and mount the engine over the back wheel with the bmx peg firmly pushing down on the back tire giving it drive. You could mount the engine to a peice of ply wood which you can bolt to the bike frame.

Pretty much the same thing for a scooter. Get a decent scooter and do the same or you could replce theengine on an existing petrol scooter

my cat eye Pocket Bike`s turn signals are not blinking and all they do is go beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep no matter how long you keep it on. its supposed to go beep beep beep. i know its not the light bulb or any bad connections .

You need a new flasher unit.

can you put a pit bike engine inside a kawasaki kx85?

are there any immediate problems i am not seeing?

do Pit Bikes and kx 85s use the same chains?

will it fit, i mean will there be enough space?

I mean sure if you did abit of tinkering and messing around,it would possibly fit.

Never know till you try it.You can line up the pit engine once in the frame to be inline with the kx spocket,so the chain will run smooth.but make sure its perfectly a lined or the chain will come off,break and what not.

i have a kawaski kx 85. its a 2008 and im thinking about getting exhaust to make it faster but i have no idea.

Ahhh...Greg, 2 strokes don't have a cam dude. The pipe will make a marginal difference if the carb is jetted properly. The best way to get real performance out of a 2 stroke is through head work, porting, polishing etc. Pro circuit offers in house head modifications that make a huge difference in performance.

I think these have a centrifugal clutch so in that case it would mean your idle is to high.

They aren't necessarily "experienced" but used a dirt bike the other day and was very well with it and no problems

I'm planning a bike trip from Quebec to PEI. I'll be bicycling about 100km/ day. Most of it will be done on the shoulder of the road, some gravel and some off road. I'm thinking about a mountain bike of some kind because I want to use it when I come back to BC. Any suggestions would help! Thanks.

As long as you stick with the major brands, (Trek, Raleigh, Gary Fisher, etc.) fit is more important than brand name. ALL the major brand names are good. Find one that you are comfortable riding.

Personally, I had a low end Trek 820 once. I like it because of the super low 1st gear for climbing hills. Now I have lower back problems & stick with my hybrid bike for the upright riding position.

They're inverted Dirtbike forks off a CR125, I think they MIGHT need to be rebuild. I'm looking to bring them into a dealership, and I'd supply the parts to get the job done. I just want to know about how many hours of work it's gonna take. I could even take the 2 fork pieces off the bike, and bring those over.
So how long does it take to change the seals, etc in dirtbike forks?

About 1.5 hrs. book time with the legs removed.You can do it yourself but you'll need a seal installer to do the job properly.Best left to a shop as there are about 50 different installation tools.
